I orignally wrote a draft of this book with a more traditional Christian-like cult, and no paranormal element. After letting the story sit, the cult is anything but conventional, and the paranormal element turned into a NEED.
When we moved to Colorado, and I did some trail riding in the canyons near our house…an entirely new backstory for the cult came into play.
This novel is currently reimagined and being re-drafted.

This is the mess of ideas that I have to re-write this novel.
Miracle Mile Canyon is a place where people go to die. Where people take their loved ones TO die so they can continue to communicate with them through a medium…a family legacy that used to reside with Joshua C (Keith Sutton).
But fifteen years ago, his daughter ran away. Was sure her father was a fake, called him on it, and as a result of a shot in the dark, her boyfriend was killed.
She’s about to launch a clothing line after a name change and plastic surgery to distance herself as much as possible from the small Colorado town that she came from. Her father has just died in prison, so of course Netflix runs a special right about the time that her dead boyfriend begins to visit her.
So was her dad a fraud? Are the visitations from the dead real? Imagined? Does she need new medications? Did she make a terrible mistake in leaving? With everything about her future and past up in the air, and a clock ticking on a new path forward and her inheritance…she has no idea how to once again patch together her life.
